He should have been there in the days when Terry Lamb was coach and the team included Hoppa, Jarrod McCracken and Terry Hill

That's right. It's a decision that belongs in that era of WT sh*t recruitment.

Although that said, Adam Blair's not exactly setting the world on fire. He's suffering from a severe case of new contract disease - where you play sh*t as soon as your big contract comes into effect.

what about the cronulla team from the early-mid 2000s which included superstars like jarrad anderson, son of coach chris anderson?

To be fair to Cronulla (I can't believe I just said that), Chris Anderson's son Ben played for Melbourne Storm, when the coach was a guy named Chris Anderson.

A bloke who's owed $5m by the Titans is seen by Michael Searle as a possible saviour?

You have to question their judgment. He was stupid enough to keep giving MS money and now MS is saying "this is the guy who can turn it around".

Seems like he bought it

So he gets a gym and office space who will only ever have a single tenant and some conference facilities in the crappy part of the Gold Coast

What a deal!

Maybe he's desperate for some tax losses and wanted to help his favourite footy club at the same time?

For the record, Newtown paid 100 cents in the dollar after they sold their Leagues Club.

On the field, there is a big buzz about Souths v Canterbury in all the papers. Souths have one high profile win against cellar dwellers WT and all of a sudden they're contenders. Give me a f***ing break. I'm giving them a 16 point start.

Maybe.

After Souffs v Bulldgos I should stick to my day job. Canterbury fans and Hasler were livid with a 7-2 penalty count but I thought they were properly outplayed. Souffs exposed a legitimate deficiency on the Bulldgos left wing and they nailed it. Canterbury dropped a lot of ball at the end of attacking moves that would have put them within striking distance.
