I see that Mark Gasnier is out of the Centenary Test against the Kiwi's at the SCG due to injury. I wonder, in finding a replacement centre, will they use Billy Slater there and pick either Brett Stewart or Karmichael Hunt at fullback? Personally, I'd have Slater on the wing, Jamie Lyon in the centres and Stewart at fullback. Either way, Billy Slater AND Brett Stewart both deserve to be there. Plain and simple.

My current team?
FB Brett Stewart, W Greg Inglis, C Justin Hodges, C Jamie Lyon, W Billy Slater, 5/8 Darren Lockyer (c), HB Jonathon Thurston, P Brent Kite, H Cameron Smith, P Petero Civoniceva, 2R Willie Mason, 2R Nathan Hindmarsh, L Andrew Ryan. Res Karmichael Hunt, Brent Tate, Anthony Watmough, Michael Crocker

Well, that's my picks, based on form, form of incumbents and injuries ruling others out etc. Agree with me or not, its your choice people. And if Lockyer can't play, Smith to captain and possibly Greg Bird to retain his spot from the Wellington test last year.

Are you not going to climb onto the bandwagon until they're in first grade?

Cronulla won again. People are talking them up. Can I remind people that they had two very narrow wins over Souths and Saints.

And they can't buy a try

They can enjoy their April Premiership, as far as i'm concerned.

Have got prior commitments, will go to the next home game. Hope the Perth League fans can let us know what sort of crowd they get.

Should take a leaf out of Brownie's book.

Last night here in San Diego I watched the the weekly wrap-up of the AFL. There was no footage or reference to Barry Hall's king-hit. Obviously the AFL directed their media not to show it. Does the NRL have similar policy/influence :?:

I'd hope not, because that's rather pathetic.

Does anyone else think that what Taylor did should be allowed to some extent? I would love to see passionate coaches patrolling the sideline like in basketball.

Not the best analogy. In RL, he's allowed to patrol the sideline as long as he keeps back from the red line. Stepping on the field without permission is different. In basketball, if they step on court without permission, it can be a tech foul - I learned that from an episode of Hangin' With Mr Cooper.

best comparison is the manager's "technical area" next to the sideline on halfway. I don't really see the problem with it. Just a cultural difference I guess.
