Ouch! which DFB decided that it was still OK to kick off at 5.30pm on a 42+ degree day in Perth?

Question about Adelaide:
If the Crows are the amalgamated, VFL created team of the middle class, and Port are the pure stand alone, working class SAFL mega club that jimmied their way into the AFL but at the price of their colours, emblem and name...
Is there any space for an Adelaide City (Magpies), playing in black and white, unfashionable battlers teams V The Reds from Hindmarsh?
Build this is some low rent suburb of Adelaide and let the magic happen?

City's main appeal back in the day was it was half the socceroos out there.
Nobody will go back, as United's brand appeal is universal.

Re: A-LEAGUE launch: "New Football"
I was on holiday in Perth last week and can vouch for the effect of the Doctor but on the evening of the game the Doctor came in about an hour and a half before kick-off and brought the temperature down from 44.6 to about 35 but then died off at kick off and the temperature went back up to about 37. I was going to go to the game to check out the venue but I heard a call from the air conditioned hotel room and couldn't resist responding to it.yob wrote:Doesn't that stupid wind blow in around then and cure cancer?AndrewM wrote:Ouch! which DFB decided that it was still OK to kick off at 5.30pm on a 42+ degree day in Perth?

Looks like the fat c***'s kingdom is falling apart.Football Federation Australia say they expect Hunter Sports Group, who own Hyundai A-League club Newcastle Jets, to urgently address their financial obligations.
An FFA spokesperson said today the national governing body was imploring HSG to act this week on these issues.
"FFA is aware of debts owed by Hunter Sports Group (HSG) to football stakeholders and other service providers," said an FFA spokesman.
"These matters are the subject of undertakings provided by HSG to FFA. The expectation is that these matters will be urgently addressed.
"It is obvious that the Newcastle Jets are not currently a stable operation in structure, personnel or finances. HSG has been told it needs to take action this week."

The old saying "sack the coach, you can't sack the whole team" is under threat.

haha! Ad has been removed. Maybe it was sold?
On a serious note, hoping Newcastle can get their sh*t together - with or without Tinkler. A proud soccer region and they deserve a well-run club. If they did they'd average 15k to Hunter Stadium. Michael Bridges the latest to resign today. Tinker reckons there's a number of signings to be announced in the coming days. Mullen appears to be the first on his way.

Sorry mate, I meant the other other fat c***.
I'm starting to think fat c*** isn't an adequate descriptor for Australian billionaires...

The Phoenux are playing their first of (I think) 3 fixtures at a temporary ground they whipped up in Hutt. Don't know the name of the ground. But my god the main stand is beautiful. Just gorgeous. Also you can see the tree lined streets poking their heads over the temporary stands. 10/10.
And to the right of screen you have the hills. This thing is beautiful.
