Cool!

Cricket NSW unveiled some seating charts for this summer's matches. There will be seating at the Northern end, most likely the temporary kind. Members are being moved west into the Brewongle Stand to allow for the reduced capacity in the regular Members precinct.

And what a rort that is. Members are expected to fork out for their annual membership and then pay another $30 to book a seat in the Brewongle Stand.

If the Trust had any sense of decency they would actually reduce the cost for this year's membership considering half the capacity and facilities are gone. But no...

^ business typically responds to the market.

Look at the trust as a business and it makes sense. SCG members will generally pay anything to watch the cricket and there is often every seat utilised in the members section.

LOL, looks like nothings been done yet. Good to know construction is just as quick in Sydney as it is in Perth.

I was surprised when I went there for the Australia A v South Africa match... It appears that all they've done is clear the old stand away and pull down the light tower that was there.

I was expecting a bit more.

Also - anyone know if there'll be a temporary screen at the other end of the ground this summer? The only scoreboard left is the small one in the Churchill Stand, which about 70% of the seats remaining in the ground can't see all that well.

I'd say they are waiting for the end of the Test. Some of the images on the SCG website suggest small temporary stands are being put in place at the northern end for the visit by the Lankans.

Yes, there will be some temporary seating used for the Test match. That's a definite. And I would presume they would also keep using the temporary video screen they used during the Swans season - hung it from a crane during matches.

I was in the Churchill Dining seats yesterday. Great view of the southern end of the SFS and up Paddington Lane. You get a real appreciation of the topography whole precinct too.
