This has a video about the conflict over the 25,000 seat rectangular venue.

Everybody laugh at Perth

It can't build a stadium, unless there is a massive bitch fight before the venue is constructed. Can't see the sh*t fight being resolved any time soon...
Absolute disaster the MES Redevelopment saga...

Love the spin on the home webpage. "Perth's stadium has evolved over a number of years and has had an extensive feasibility study" - ROFL.

Well lets be glass half full here - you can't say that they haven't discussed all the options fully with all parties!

This is the best existing thread I can think of to mention news I read yesterday.
Anna Bligh has promised the good people of Rockhampton that if the Central Queensland NRL bid is accepted, she will build them a stadium.

Why the heck you'd give those people a team is beyond me but clearly there are two ends of the spectrum.
QLD - build stadiums for teams that don't exist.
WA - nothing for everyone.

She's (well Labor) gotten themselves into a bit of a pattern now. Lets be honest though, it won't need to be anything special, probably two decent main stands. Get out of this one for around $60 Million. Then again Browne Park is quite restrained, so maybe they would do a Townsville and build it out in the sticks.

Gotta love Queensland.
But odds on the next Qld NRL franchise will be Ipswich or Sunny Coast.
