Had to laugh at his comments in Parliament about waterparks and theatres near the venue...

Football fans at the new Perth stadium will sit in seats almost of business class quality, with so much room they won't have to stand for passing spectators, the government has promised.

Translation: you'll be sitting further away from the pitch.

Assuming it actually gets built of course.

Well the unicorns may be breeding like crazy...

McGowan revealed that WA Labor policy is for the stadium to be built at Subiaco. So a change of government will cause another clusterfuck to the planning...

what's the story with Perry lakes? I drove past there today and everything apart from the main stand and gate, has been flattened and houses are beginning to go up. I thought the stand was going to go as well?

it will go in the end ....asbestos issues...

For those of you interested the main grandstand roof came down yesterday - came down with a whimper not a bang! Took about an hour to come down with the main steel supports cut at the back of the grandstand and the concrete counterweights were released. Will take about a month for the whole thing to be now demolished and taken off site.

AFL claims Perth's new stadium looks like being the most outstanding stadium in the country...http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/perths-new-stadium-most-outstanding-in-nation-20120827-24wbz.html

Apart from the small fact that it isn't built yet and the AFL won't actually commit to spending any money on it...

The precautionary principle applies here. If in doubt, stop everything and hire public servants.

Lololololol

Vote winner number 1 - start talking about the mythical beast and re-starting plans and task forces to change existing plans. A Perth tradition...
