Anyways, if the soil works out to be sh*t and can't hold a stadium we are back to square 1.

Should be at least 70,000 people.

They should try and move the state tennis centre near Perth Arena, if there is any space so it can be the practice place for people playing in the hopman cup from 2013

I'm sticking with the unicorns, I actually thought I saw one the other day, but alas it was just Sarah Jessica Parker.

Unicorns are beautiful, graceful creatures.

Alistair Richardson, one of Australia's most experienced sports architects, who is involved in the $450 million upgrade of Adelaide Oval and also worked with John Langoulant's 2007 taskforce, said WA was the "poorest state" in terms of football and rugby public facilities.

He said Perth's facilities were at least 20 years behind other Australian capitals.

"You have got the poorest facilities for professional sports in Australia in terms of the AFL or rugby," Mr Richardson said.

"Perth is one of the top capital cities in Australia, yet it doesn't have a decent stadium.

"Perth is falling further and further behind other cities."
I have to agree with this guy

So at the moment there is a two year wait for the construction. But if the Royalties figure increases to 7.25% that extra revenue will pay for the outdoor stadium.

I have a feeling the outdoor stadium will have retractable seating as well.
