Re: Perth's new stadium and unicorns
If they're inside the turnstiles then, well, jesus. There's paddocks of green car park for people to park their cars and have a bbq on their own dollar. It's what SA fans have been doing for years. They make a day of it - arrive in the morning, pull out the deckchairs and barbie, radio on and talk about what old people talk about.
This could be an affirmative chewbacca defense of the stadium.
"This stadium costs how much?!"
"LOOK AT THE SILLY BBQ!"

It would be a Corporate only offer I would imagine..( like AO )....and you would pay through the nose for an average steak.Jeffles wrote:Are the BBQ areas inside the turnstiles? Wouldn't catering revenue suffer?

Re: Perth's new stadium and unicorns
Why build something only used by corporates? Not the best use of taxpayer dollars.
Anyways the longer this goes on, the bigger the wankfest this begins. people don't even really care anymore, they sort of expect it to take forever and wait for the next election. It's pretty much going to be insanely difficult to build in current economic environment.

By that logic, there'd be no corproate boxes anywhere builtr on the public purse, even though they are more profitable than anything else obn a per seat basis.Egan wrote:Why build something only used by corporates? Not the best use of taxpayer dollars..
Although you get to the real issue in your second paragraph. Is this a necessary, cost effective and and profitable inclusion in the project?

What about the poor bastards that have been playing golf on this contaminated land for the past 25 years? Buggers are going to have kids with 6 legs and 4 eyes.

Not sure how old the footage is but Colin gives some insight into the new stadium with Daniel Kerr and a completion date of start of 2018
