For two clubs with barely a spare cent between them, they've got a damn fine facility. Novocastrians should drop their pants everytime someone from Macquarie Street visits town.

And have a better venue than us FFS

Knights /Rabbitohs game tonight is apparantly a sellout, some on LU are saying.
Should be a good tester of its new capacity.

30,729. I'd say capacity might be another couple of thousand. Looks great.

The best part was when Souffs lost.

Since I posted in this thread - I've ended up becoming a member of both clubs, and my seats are in the new Western grandstand. And it's a lot better since the first time I was up in the stand.

Not a fan of the pre-paid parking, or the new food vendors. Burgers are nice, I'm not the biggest fan of mexican food. Overpriced, as usual.

Public transport is still terrible, unless you get a game where Newcastle Buses gives a sh*t and puts buses on direct from the game. Closest buses are over at the Maccas and high school. And you'd hope it is not raining, otherwise you're walking through a muddy field.

I'll have to take a few more pictures but here's one I did take - this was on Friday night at the Jets vs Roar game. This wasn't long before management advised those in the lower concourse to move up into the higher seats.
