Just recieved an email back from CCN Architects;

"To answer your query the RFP (brief) called for minimum capacities of 12000 for sporting event and 14000 for end stage concerts.

We are achieving capacities of 13500 for sporting events and up to 15500 including 5000 GA (standing on the event floor) for concerts. Therefore not all the 15500 are seated. The maximum seated capacity for an end stage event is 12500 to 14000: This number varies depending on the stage setup with regard to how many seats will have effective sight lines of the stage. Centre stage concerts will have a seated capacity of 14700."

So Basketball and Tennis will have a seated capacity of 13500.

I presume this was not a part of the email. My experience at Acer Arena was that we could get a slightly larger capacity for basketball because the areas around a tennis court were larger than the areas around a basketball court. This is because tennis players/linesmen/ballboys etc use a lot of space outside the lines of the court that basketballers do not use. We're only talkinga few hundred seats here but with basketball, you get closer than tennis.

Same argument you use against the super stadium ,
but hey 22 AFL games + AFL finals , S14 games + finals , cricket , soccer ,concerts ,commonwealth games .
You where using a Super Stadium argument to validify your points against me, even though I support the super stadium and you have now changed your tune to make it a WAFC managed venue.

Which I have been against for over a year now, so it is interesting the timing you have on being against it.

No , I haven't changed at all .
Unlike you , management has never been a large issue with me .
If you have a multi purpose venue , then it it makes obvious sense for the major tenant to have first priority .

It's still not too late to be scrapped.

A bit of a geography lesson.

The circle building to the left is the Perth Entertainment Centre, the freeway to the west is the Mitchell Freeway that takes you up to Crapoondalup. To the right of the railway is Northbridge Aka Cousins/Farmer/Kizon zone, to the left is the CBD.

Its taken a while for the underground carpark...

As Rob has said this venue could easily be scrapped, as has others before this venue.

Maybe Perth Glory can play there - only need half a pitch.
