Re: AFL 2011

TROUBLED AFL star Brendan Fevola has become an unwitting victim of Queensland's crippling floods, with the New Farm clinic he was receiving treatment at still closed due to flood damage. Fevola is now receiving treatment at Greenslopes Private Hospital http://www.couriermail.com.au/entertainment/co...

Re: Suncorp Stadium on fire/exploding/flooded.

I saw on 9 news tonight that the Suncorp surface is salvagable, but most of the electrical cabling has fried and the locker rooms etc. are a mess. They're hoping to get it ready by Feb 20 for the Reds opening game, but that's no certainty.

Re: Suncorp Stadium on fire/exploding/flooded.

The site of the former Milton Tennis Club were drenched as well. I've wondered for a long time why developers haven't wanted to touch the Milton Tennis site. It seemed strange that such prime land close to the CBD had remained vacant for so long. But seeing the depth of the flooding, it now all mak...

Re: AFL 2010

I've only read the report on News.com.au so I might have missed something, but I have massive doubts that these pictures have been obtained illegally. Is she the next Julian Assange, or a teenage girl who's got it on with multiple St Kilda players? I think the latter option is a lot more likely.

Re: A-LEAGUE launch: "New Football"

I don't know about arriving, but Robina sucks when trying to leave. Most people are catching the train, so the lineup at the train station is hell on earth. Mind you, this was for a Titans game where 20 000 attended so I can't imagine it being as bad for the GCU game.

Re: The Western Sydney Football Club

I find it funny how rival sets of fans both think there is a News Agenda going on against their game. If you read LU, they'll say there's a News Ltd conspiracy to bring down the NRL so that TV rights are cheaper for Foxtel. If you read BF, they'll say there's a conspiracy from the NRL-backed News to...

So I guess Collingwood's membership package includes sexual assault.

So for example, if you buy a Collingwood 5 game membership package, you get to sexually assault 5 women.

Considering Monaghan loves dogs, Inglis can count himself lucky he's not defecting to the Raiders instead.

Hussey is untouchable. No doubt in the Ashes he'll get 5 golden ducks in a row and will be about to be dropped, but then he'll hit a thrilling 100 off 550 balls. The media will hail it as Hussey's amazing revival and we'll be blessed to see him in the Australian team for another 20 years.

Re: Australian Premier League 2011-12

Some of the numbers CA are touting are ridiculous. Franchises worth $60 million? I get that they're selling broadcast rights to India and Indian billionaires are looking to buy in, but it still doesn't make sense how the league could be valued that highly.
