Re: Moore Park Master Plan

Is it just me or does the footprint for that bridge look bigger than it needs to be? TBH, management of Moore Park east has been shithouse. When I was in high school, we used to use the playing fields for school sport. Now, they play repo sport elksewhere because they can't get a decent pitch. A lot...

^^ It does. Closer to the action along the wings and the bottom tier is a bit more elevated.

Re: Beginning of the end for suburban NRL stadiums?

The report calls for only one tier 2 stadium in western Sydney. That either means a greenfields site for everyone (WT, Penrith, Parra, and WSW) to share or one existing venue getting the upgrade. Richard Hinds (who lives 845km away from Parramatta Stadium) calls for Parramatta to be the one and I th...

In the highly strung environment of cricket misconduct it was a light punishment. In the football codes it would barely rate a mention.

Still, neither part comes out looking good.

Re: Beginning of the end for suburban NRL stadiums?

Comparisons with the Melbourne experience as referenced in the report need to be considered carfeully. Windy Hill to the MCG is around 15km. Moorabin to Docklands is around 19km. I think that's the biggest move for a club between its traditional supporter base (not necessarily their home ground) and...

I was in the Churchill Dining seats yesterday. Great view of the southern end of the SFS and up Paddington Lane. You get a real appreciation of the topography whole precinct too.

Which is similar to the top level at Suncorp, right?

I like that the facade of the western stairwell of the MA Noble stand is being preserved along with its clock.

Re: T20 Big Bash League (from 2011/12)

And a massive crowd last night. I don't think scheduling is as big a thing as people made it out to be for small crowds at the beginning. I mean, a lot of people had time off before Christmas, kids were on holidays and the publicity machine was in overdrive but crowds were still down. The incoherent...

Excellent batting with the tail and our best fielder. He will be a big loss for the team.

His replacement will be thrown into the deep end with England and India next up

I'd say they are waiting for the end of the Test. Some of the images on the SCG website suggest small temporary stands are being put in place at the northern end for the visit by the Lankans.
